ALIS v1.1
ALIS is an ArcView extension that was developed by Armstrong Mapping & Imagery, Inc. as an internal tool used to automate parcel mapping by means of electronic tax rolls to polygon shp files. Due to high demand, we have compiled and encrypted ALIS so that it can be leased to outside companies on a project to project basis.
ALIS gets large GIS mapping projects to speed in a matter of days compared to months. ALIS allows GIS mappers to convert tax rolls with legal descriptions to a shp file that can be added as a layer to GIS maps. ALIS draws all parcels within the area of interest that do not require a metes and bounds description with complex calls. This elimates weeks of redundant parcel drawing and allows your mapper to spend more time filling in gaps and drawing complex / problematic parcels. ALIS is only compatible with property surveyed using the Public Land Survey System (PLSS), or otherwise known as Township and Range surveys.
